    Our network of Board Certified providers practice under GenieMD Medical Group and are both single and multi-state licensed and credentialed to work in your state of residence. Our providers go through a rigorous selection process and receive ongoing telemedicine training as a part of our
    network.

  • Is my virtual visit safe and secure?

    Patient privacy and security protocols are are extremely important to us. The GenieMD iVisit platform is designed to be fully HIPAA-compliant, which allows you to safely and confidentially consult with a provider online.

  • How much does it cost to use GenieMD iVisit?

    The cost for an online medical visit is $59. You can pay using Visa, Mastercard or American Express, and we also accept HSA/FSA Cards. We do not currently accept medical insurance.

  • How do I sign up for or activate my GenieMD iVisit account?

    You can easily sign up or activate your account by using one of the following methods:

  • What is GenieMD iVisit?

    GenieMD iVisit is a telemedicine platform that lets you access a doctor from the convenience of your home through a smart phone or computer. Through a virtual medical visit our providers will diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medication, and send any prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice.

  • Seeing my Provider

  • Is it possible to receive a doctor's note, or other medical forms?

    Our providers are able to provide simple forms like sick slips when deemed appropriate. You can request the documentation during your conversation with your provider. Please note that we are not able to provide more substantial documents like FMLA forms, disability forms or handicap/DMV documents as these documents require in-person valuation.

  • Which states require a video encounter between providers and patients?

    CA, TX, NY

  • What is asynchronous telemedicine?

    Asynchronous telemedicine refers to the “store-and-forward” technique, whereas a patient or physician collects medical history, images, and pathology reports and then sends it to a specialist physician for diagnostic and treatment expertise.

  • Can my child see a provider using GenieMD iVisit?

    Yes. Please create an account for yourself, and list your child as your dependent. When scheduling a provider visit you will be able to choose if the visit is for you or your child. We currently treat children 5 and older, and any children over the age of 18 must have their own account, due to privacy and security requirements mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).

  • Can my GenieMD iVisitprovider prescribe medication?

    Our providers can fill many routine non-controlled prescriptions such as antibiotics, birth control, and men’s health medications. After reviewing your case your provider will use their medical judgment to determine whether a prescription is required, and any prescriptions will be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice. We do not prescribe or refill any controlled substances such as Adderall, Ativan, or Xanax.

  • How long is a video provider visit?

    A typical video provider visit is about 10 -15 minutes.

  • How long does it take for a provider to review and treat my condition?

    Our providers are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It usually takes less than 4 hours for one of our providers to review your case and call you during business hours (8AM to 8PM Pacific Time).

  • Do I need to schedule an appointment?

    You do not need to schedule an appointment. After you register and log into your account you will be able to view providers who are available for an on-demand visit. If a provider is not immediately available, you can report your symptoms and then be placed in a virtual waiting room. As soon as a provider is available they will review your case and give you a call back to start your virtual visit.

  • Do I have to use the app for my video visit?

    You can connect with your GenieMD iVisit provider through our app or through any browser. To connect with your provider through a desktop or laptop computer, you will need high-speed internet access and a webcam or built-in camera with audio capability.
